About This Tutorial
The online OSCAR tutorial is a 20-minute audio/video presentation. It covers all of the screens and functions
of OSCAR. If you're new to OSCAR, or want a refresher, we suggest you watch the
presentation before logging in.
Using Adobe's Macromedia Flash Player
The tutorial uses Flash movies and requires that you have Adobe's Macromedia Flash Player installed on your computer. Most PCs and Macs already have the viewer installed. If you don't have it, it's available for free at www.adobe.com.
The Flash Player has some simple preferences and a menu:
You can choose to watch an individual section of the tutorial or the entire tutorial in sequence.
Each movie has a control bar:
The buttons work much like a CD player so you can control the playback of the movie.

Performance
The most important factor that affects performance of the movie is the speed of your Internet connection. We designed this tutorial with high speed connections in mind, but all networks can experience delays at busy times. If the image becomes blurry, you can stop the video, rewind it a little, and restart it.
