The minimum hardware and software needed to view ASSIST articulation information over the Web are described below.
An Internet connection. ASSIST will work with a dial-in connection (modem),
however, performance will be much better with a direct connection
(T-1 or faster).
A computer using a graphical user interface (PC or Mac).
A monitor with a screen resolution of 800 x 600 or greater. ASSIST reports
are formatted for computers with the screen resolution set at 800 x 600
pixels. Reports will not be displayed properly on computers with a lower
screen resolution setting.
Netscape Navigator 3.0 or newer or Microsoft Internet
Explorer 3.0 or newer.
Adobe Reader is required to print formatted reports.
Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Reader may all be downloaded and installed without charge. Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Reader must be installed as browser plug-ins. Click the About ASSIST menu, then click Information Center, and finally click About the Information Center. Click the links to download the current versions of these applications. The commercial sites include installation instructions.
